“I am VICTORIA”
“I am VICTORIA”
“I am VICTORIA” is based on the world-famous Norwegian author Knut Hamsun’s novel from 1898, “Victoria”.
As inspiration for the work, Tine has used Hamsun’s well-known quote; “And love became the origin of the world and the ruler of the world; but all its paths are filled with flowers and blood, flowers and blood.”
Notice Tine’s illustration of the vulnerable VICTORIA on the right side of the face, and how the power and strength is displayed on the left.
Victoria can just not be tamed; the work ended up with both flowers and blood.

“HULDRA”
Huldra
In Norwegian folklore and legend, Huldra is a mythical, beautiful female creature you can encounter in the mountains or the deepest of forests.
Huldra lives in the Norwegian mountains and underground, and entices men with appearance and charm. Huldra also steals children and exchanges them for their own. These children are called “swaps”.
In stories, Huldra appears to the public for better or worse. She can get you in danger and unhappiness, or she can help and comfort you. Huldra can lure and obtain men hiking in the mountains, and in some tales and anecdotes, she also marries human souls.
Tine Hartz here creates this supernatural legend, that few claim to have seen.
“Valentina Haute Couture”
VALENTINA HAUTE COUTURE
“Valentina Haute Couture” is based on the Ukrainian fashion designer Valentine Schlee who excelled in fashion between the years 1928 – 1950.
Her well-known quote lives on in the fashion industry today;
“Women of chic are wearing now dresses they bought from me in 1936. Fit the century, forget the year.” – Valentina Schlee, 1989.
Tine Hartz is honoring fashion by art, as a tribute to this controversial and talented diva.
“GAIA LIGERA”
GAIA LIGERA
Tine has created her own version of Mother Earth that proves thoughtfully with the whole universe as its crown.
GAIA is another word for mother goddess. Gaia appeared as a mighty deity. She gave birth to the sky (Uranos), the mountains (Tartaros), and the sea (Pontos). She acts eerie, as the mistress of darkness and the dead, and friendly, as the gentle mother of all living beings. Pictures of her do not occur very often.
Earth, universe, heaven, and divinity. This view is expressed in the Gaia hypothesis that the entire globe must be considered a living organism. In the New Age movement and specific factions, Gaia is a term for the earth or nature as the “nourishing Mother Earth,” a cosmic, living being.
By defying the rules, Tine puts her signature in the middle of the picture as a statement and an essential part of the work. Let your eyes rest over the GAIA.

“KVINNENS FRIHET”
“KVINNENS FRIHET”
WOMAN FREEDOM by Tine Hartz symbolizes a woman who has been bound against her will, but
who after much struggle has worn herself out. Freedom is one of the most important things to have,
but also one of the easiest things to overlook if you have it. Let’s celebrate Freedom with this picture!
“HIMMELHVELV”
HIMMELHVELV
Abstract art gives you the opportunity to create your own thoughts about what the artwork illustrates. Yet the artist often has a thought behind the work. This abstract work illustrates heaven and universe together with time, space and matter. If you mix it together in a jumble of colors – you have a work of art you never get tired of. The rest is up to you.
“LIV”
LIV
Picture no. 3 in the “Light-series”, the amazing “LIV” is in honor to Life itself and the Woman’s organ, the uterus. The illustration shows how we all germinate and grow and that we have the Woman to thank for it. “LIFE” is for all mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, and people who breathe and give Life. Picture 3 is a prelude to another organ, and what also makes us humans unique – picture no. 4 – “BRAINSTORM”, an illustration of the brain activity.
“Dark HULDRA”
